Eric F. Rego

Eric F. Rego, age 25, of Hastings, died unexpectedly December 26, 2008, following a brief respiratory illness. Eric loved his family and was a very loving and caring son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend to many. He was a 2002 graduate of Hastings High School and a graduate of St. John's University in Collegeville. He loved the outdoors, where he hunted, fished and went skiing. He especially loved his dog Mack. Eric was an Eagle Scout.Eric is survived by his parents Mark and Sonia (Egland) Rego of Hastings, by his brother Chad Rego of Cottage Grove and his sister Crystal Rego of Hastings. He is also survived by his grandparents Francis and Frances Rego of Hastings, Lyle and Helen Egland of Hastings, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.A visitation will be held Tuesday, December 30, 2008 from 4-8 pm at the Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, 201 E 7th Street, Hastings.Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at 11 am at Our Saviour's Ev. Lutheran Church, 400 W 9th St., Hastings, MN. There will be a visitation for 1 hour prior to the service at church.
