Elly M. McNamara, age 75 of Hastings died June 4, 2011 at her residencein Hastings.Elly was born March 4, 1936 to Martin and Florence (Gerlach) Conzemius in Hastings. She was a graduate of Hastings High School class of 1954 and was united in marriage to Clayton McNamaraon August 2, 1958in Hastings. Shewas a homemaker and volunteered at Hastings Family Services.Elly was a wife, mother, grandmother, friend and caregiver who was the strength of her family. She enjoyed gardening, quilting and sewing. She also liked golfing, tennis and coached a variety of youth athletics.Elly is preceded in death by her parents and her granddaughter Marissa Bauer. She is survived by her husband; her children Nancy (Glenn) Bauer of Hastings, Greg (Ann) McNamara of Little Falls, Cindy (Gordy) Rother of Hastings, Carol (Mark) Howd of Hastings; grandchildren Mark Bauer, Brian, Anna Joe McNamara, Cassandra Maria Rother and Sarah Eric Howd; siblings Marian (Jerry) Weber of Hastings, Dorothy Fritzie of Hastings, Lois (Bill) Cain of Des Moines, IA, Marty (Becky) Conzemius of Bloomington and her Paper Roses Gang.The Funeral Service will be 11am Friday at ST. ELIZABETH ANN SETON CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2035 W. 15th St., Hastings. The visitation will be held 4-8pm Thursday also AT THE CHURCH and 1 hour prior to the service.Elly's grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.The honorarypallbearers are Kathy Kummer, Connie Lang, Pat Munson, Marion Endres, Sharon Parkin, Jan Weber, Mary Jean Heselton Caroline Perry.Memorials are preferred to Hastings Family Services.
