Ellen E. Bollenbeck

Ellen E. Bollenbeck (nee Murphy), age 87, of Hastings, formerly of Bloomington died Tuesday, February 14, 2012 in Woodbury, MN. Ellen was born December 24, 1924 in Fond du Lac, WI to Robert Emmitt and Marie (Kaiser) Murphy. She attended Mount Mary College in Milwaukee, WI. She married Carl Bollenbeck in 1947 and had five children. Ellen was a homemaker until the children were out of the home and then worked as a volunteer coordinator with the March of Dimes. She enjoyed baking, especially Christmas cookies and was an avid reader. Preceded in death by her husband Carl and her parents, Ellen is survived by her children Bill (JoAnn) Bollenbeck of Hastings, Leona �Sis� Bollenbeck of Milwaukee, WI, Bob (Michelle) Bollenbeck of Mora, MN, Mark (Patty) Bollenbeck of Edmonds, WA, and David Bollenbeck of Red Wing; also six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and her brother Bob (Karen) Murphy of Hot Springs Village, AR. The Christian Funeral Service, officiated by Robert Murphy will be held 10:30 AM Friday, February 17, 2012 at the Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, 201 E. Seventh St., Hastings with visitation held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Dawn Valley Memorial Park, Bloomington, MN. The pallbearers are grandchildren, Eric Bollenbeck, Katie Bollenbeck, Bob Bollenbeck, Ellen Bollenbeck, Jeff Bollenbeck and Brian Bollenbeck.
