Elizabeth A. "Beth" Kimmes

Elizabeth A. �Beth� Kimmes, age 80, of Hastings died September 16, 2011 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. Beth was born July 29, 1931 in Marshan Township to Mathias and Anna (Rech) Kimmes. She was a graduate of Bethlehem Academy, Faribault and Century College, St. Paul. She was a former employee at Liberty State Bank, Brown and Bigelow Advertising Co., Norwest Bank downtown St. Paul, and retired from 3-M headquarters, St. Paul. Beth was a fan of pro-football, played poker, was interested in the Arts and was somewhat of an artist herself. She was an avid reader, volunteer, member of two golf leagues, an amateur photographer, enjoyed cooking, nice clothes, flowers and plants. She was compassionate, ambitious, organized, proud, a perfectionist, frank, had a sense of humor, encouraged women to advance both professionally and personally, a leader with the need to be recognized. She was of Catholic faith, promoter of the Miraculous Medal, and a former active parishioner of Transfiguration Church, St. Paul. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Arthur, Ernest, Leander, Herbert, Alois and John; sisters Marcelline and Theresa; sisters-in-law Frances, Dorothy, Rita and Dolores; nephew Michael Lischwe. Beth is survived by her brother Rainer Kimmes; sister Margaret (Dick) Matsch; brother-in-law Anthony Lischwe; sister-in-law Louise Kimmes; also many nieces and nephews; special friends Audrey Ryan, Betty Trudeau, Katie Mollers, Jane Scott, Edna Siebenaler. The Funeral Mass, officiated by Fr. Stan Mader will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at St. Mary�s Catholic Church, New Trier with interment in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the service. The pallbearers are Kathy Beilke, Rod Kimmes, Tim Lischwe, Kay Lischwe-Wright, Dennis Kimmes, Tom Kimmes.
