Elaine Gove

Elaine Gove, age 75 of Hastings died peacefully at home surrounded by family on October 10, 2010. Elaine was born February 5, 1935 in New Richmond, WI to James and Lucille (Ring) Casey. She was a 1953 graduate of New Richmond High School and married Gene Gove on October 3, 1953 in New Richmond. She was former co-owner of Imperial Counters of Hastings, MN, was an avid card player, and was very proud of her Irish heritage. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents; son Casey Gove; and brothers Robert, Mike, and John Casey. She is survived by her husband Gene; 6 children, Kathy (John) Peterson of Hastings, Pat (Tony) Brozek of Andover, MN, Jeanie (Brian) Olson of Hastings, Mike (Mary) Gove of Welch, Colleen (Kevin)Wojciechowski of Coon Rapids, and Kelly (Melissa) Gove of Rosemount; also 13 grandchildren J.R. Roberts, Sarah Easton, Joe Brozek, Jake Brozek, Andy Olson, Ben Olson, Dylan Gove, Danny Gove, Logan Gove, Regan Gove, Alex Wojciechowski, Tyler Wojciechowski, and Casey Gove; siblings Mary Jo (Robert) Krueger of New Richmond, Winnie (Richard) Weidner of Houston, TX, Dan (Betty) Casey of New Richmond, Ludy (Mike) Guerino of New Berlin, WI; and sisters-in-law Pat Casey, Kaye Casey, and Gail Casey. The visitation will be held from 4-8pm Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, 201 E. Seventh St., Hastings and 1 hour prior to the Funeral Mass at 11am Thursday, October 14, 2010 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 151 So. Washington Ave. in New Richmond, WI. The officiating clergy are Rev. Dan Dahlberg andRev. James Brinkman. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Her 13 grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
