Dorothy M. Endres was born on 9/12/1916 in Hastings and died at Regina�s Tabitha Unit on August 13 at almost 96 years young. Preceded in death by her parents Mayme (Otte) and Martin McNamara and her sister Lois Orman and three brothers � Ray, Vern and Aloysius, beloved husband of 44 years, Henry Endres and by her son, Gary. Henry Endres and Dorothy McNamara were married on September 12, 1944 at Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Hastings and made their lasting home in Hastings. Dorothy is survived by her grateful children, Trish (Wayne) Thompson of Hastings, Jim Endres of Hutchinson, Henry Jr. (Linda) Endres of LeSueur, and daughter-in-law Jan (Jim) Rossing of Hastings. There are nine grandchildren: Molly (Michael) Breeden, Mike Thompson, Chris Endres, Jenny (Mike) Liberty, Amy (Steve) Lock, Erin (Josh) Knudtson, Marty (Nicole) Endres, Laura Endres and Danny Endres. Other survivors included �11+� great-grandchildren�Mason Breeden, Wyatt Thompson, Lily Thompson, Logan Liberty, Garrison Liberty, Colin Lock, Caden Lock, Cooper Lock, Max Knudtson, Ellie Knudtson, Evan Endres and baby boy Endres (due in October). Mom is also survived by one brother, Francis (Bud) McNamara, plus her godchildren, many nieces and nephews and a wide range of wonderful friends. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday, August 17, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in St. Paul Park with the Rev. Fr. Tony Andrade officiating. Visitation will take place Thursday, August 16, from 5-8 PM at the church and one hour prior to the funeral Mass. Pallbearers will be Dorothy�s grandchildren and their spouses. Interment will take place in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Cemetery, Hastings. Our Mom was employed at Smead�s and Cudahay�s before she became a stay-at-home Mom. Mom went back to work when she was 49 and remained working for various Hastings doctors and clinics until she retired at the age of 77. Mom loved to volunteer and did so throughout her lifetime. She lived in her own home until she was 94 years old and then moved to Regina�s Tabitha Unit in 2010 where she received the very best care from the compassionate staff that she loved so much.
