Dorothy Ann Ginter

"Dorothy A. Ginter, age 92, of Oakdale, passed away on November 7, 2018 at Oak Meadows Senior Living in Oakdale. Dorothy Ann, the daughter of Rudolph and Hannah (Weiers) Hauer was born on September 23, 1926 in New Prague, MN. Following her education, she was united in marriage to Joseph R. Ginter on May 3, 1950. During their marriage, they spent time in several Air Force bases. Following Joseph's retirement, they settled in Minnesota, where she enjoyed spending time with family and working at Dayton's. Her hobbies were flower arranging and feeding birds in their backyard. While residing at Oak Meadows, she enjoyed teasing the staff and having fun with the other residents. She was preceded in death by, parents; husband, Joseph R. Ginter; and son, Joseph C. Ginter. Dorothy is survived by, sister, Irene (Bill) Moser; brother, Bill (Judy) Hauer; sisters-in-law, Loretta Hauer and Mary Hauer; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Monday, November 12, 2018 at Transfiguration Catholic Church, 6133 15th Street North, Oakdale, with Father John Paul Erickson officiating. Interment will take place at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at church. Arrangements are being completed by Oakwood Family Funeral Home - Crematory of Maplewood. "
