Donald Laumeyer

Donald H. Laumeyer, age 92, of Hastings, passed away September 21, 2017 at his home. He was born on August 26, 1925 in Long Prairie, Minnesota to George P. and Elizabeth L. Laumeyer. He graduated from Long Prairie High School and went on to serve in the United States Army during World War II. He worked at N Ren for 28 years and at Guardian Angels School for 5 years. He enjoyed traveling, hunting, playing cards and watching his grandchildren’s sports. Donald is preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters; 1 brother; 1 daughter in law and 2 great grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Lois (Bokinskie); children, Rebecca (Al) Kline; Douglas (Barbara) Laumeyer; Bill (Karla) Laumeyer; Dan (Sandy) Laumeyer; Alan Laumeyer; grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. The Memorial Mass, officiated by Fr. Dave Hennen, will be held on Tuesday (9/26) at 10:30 AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 15th St. W. in Hastings. Visitation will be held on Monday (9/25) from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Wise Family Funeral & Cremation Services, 400 Spring Street, Hastings, and 1 hour prior to mass at church on Tuesday. Interment, Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton School Endowment Fund.
