Donald G. Smith

Donald G. Smith, age 58, of Hastings, passed away at United Hospital in St. Paul on December 30, 2019. He was born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on July 19, 1961 to LaVonne and Gary Smith. He married Mary Agnes Raway July 9, 1988 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Hastings. He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Smith and step father, Garry Cavanaugh. Donald is survived by his wife, Mary; mother, LaVonne Cavanaugh; sister, Brenda; and many other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 3, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel, 3075 Vermillion Street in Hastings. A gathering will take place one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
