Dolores M. Kimmes

Dolores M. Kimmes, age 90, of Cannon Falls died September 22, 2010. Dolores was born March 22, 1920 in Castle Rock Township to Peter and Margaret (Michels) May. She was a graduate of Loyola Catholic School at Good Counsel in Mankato, and married Arthur M. Kimmes September 24, 1941 in Hampton. Dolores was formerly a caterer�s assistant, and loved gardening, puzzles, and playing cards. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Art, and several siblings. Dolores is survived by sons Gene (Judy) of Hampton, Ken (Judy) of Hastings; daughter Donna (Ronnie) Frandrup of Hastings; six grandchildren Sandy Kimmes (Greg Kneser), Cherie Frandrup (Bernie), Gretchen Kimmes (Les Thompson), Charlee Kimmes, Ken A. Kimmes, Kevin Kimmes (Nichole); seven great-grandchildren Amelia Rose, Jacob, Wylie, Sally Rose, Halley Rose, Jarod, Kaitlyn; brothers-in-law Rainer Kimmes, Tony Lischwe; sisters-in-law Margaret (Dick) Matsch, Beth Kimmes. The Funeral Mass, officiated by Fr. Jay Kythe will be held 10:30am Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at St. Pius V Catholic Church, Cannon Falls. Interment will follow in St. Mary�s Cemetery, New Trier. The visitation will be held 4-8pm Monday, September 27, 2010at Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, 201 E. Seventh Street, Hastings and 1 hour prior to the service at church. Her grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
