Devin Joseph Norring

Devin Norring, age 19 of Hastings, died suddenly in his sleep on Saturday afternoon, April 4, 2020. Devin Joseph, the son of Thomas and Bridgette (Hallen) Norring, was born at Children's Hospital in St. Paul at 7:11 a.m. on December 19, 2000. As a child, Devin was all boy. From playing football, wrestling, BMX Biking, and riding dirt bike at the lake, he never missed an opportunity to enjoy life. Devin attended Hastings High School and recently graduated with the class of 2019. Throughout high school, Devin worked at Duggies, Coborn's, and Emily's Bakery. Following his graduation, Devin began working at Factory Motor Parts in Eagan. He truly loved what he did and cherished the opportunity to work closely with his dad and grandpa, as well as many other co-workers. Devin was always adventurous and lived life to the fullest. He was a protector to his siblings and friends, but would give his shirt off his back to someone in need whether he knew them or not. Even struggling with inner demons, he never surrendered to them but rather found purpose and set goals to achieve the many joys in life. He was a very talented writer in both music and poetry. Most of all, Devin was loved his family and always did what he could to make sure they knew how much he cared about them. He was preceded in death by his grandmas Jean Stockey and Elizabeth "Betty" Voss; great grandparents, Rose and Bruce Hallen; great-great aunt, Penny Krejce; and by his cousin, Taylor Freedy. Devin is survived by his parents, Thomas and Bridgette Norring; siblings, Hayley and Caden; great grandparents, John Stockey, Roy Voss, and Bonnie and Ernie Youngbauer; grandparents, Dennis and Mary Hallen, Richard and Debra Norring; and by many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends whom he loved dearly. A Celebration of Devin's Life will be held from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, July 19, 2020, at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings.
