Deborah Wagner

Deborah D. "Debbie" Wagner, age 66 of Hastings, died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, June 6, 2018. Deborah was born June 19, 1951 in Hastings, to Conrad Norma (Gregory) Eckhart. She attended Hastings Schools and graduated with the class of 1969. On February 28, 1970, Debbie married Joseph Wagner, in Hastings and they enjoyed 48 years of marriage. Debbie was a homemaker, dearly loved her gardens and was an avid crafter. She also worked part time at Hastings Veterinary Clinic. Debbie is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Joseph J.; children Wendy M. (Jason) Edwards, Joseph P. Wagner, Patrick J. (Amy) Wagner, Angela J. (Chad) Davison; grandchildren Alyssa, Jacob, Amanda, Autumn, Josilyn, Joseph "Bill", Levi, Shayla, Jacob, Hadley, Isabelle, Jessica Jack; a great grandchild Everett; sisters Sherryl (Harry) Meier Michelle Eckhart. The Memorial Service, conducted by Chaplain Greg Gilbert, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 14, 2018, at Resurrection United Methodist Church, 615 West 15th St., Hastings. There will be a visitation from Noon until time of service Thursday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. Arrangements are being completed by Caturia, Smidt Starkson Funeral Home Crematory of Hastings.
