David "Radar" Latch, age 67 of Hastings, died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday morning, May 31, 2022. David William, the son of Clarence and Dorothy (Harkcom) Latch, was born on March 10, 1955, in Hastings. Following his graduation from Hastings High School with the class of 1973, Dave was united in marriage to Sandra Knack on March 1, 1975, in Stillwater. He first managed the KFC in Stillwater, then Mal-O-Sen and then began his life-long career at Hastings Fire Depart. While he was there, Radar enjoyed being part of the HFD Relief Association and the Minnesota State Fire Department of Association, as well as the annual Booya until his retirement. Outside of work, Radar loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing up north, and was a lifetime member of the NRA. He especially cherished spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as being with his buddies for morning coffee at Emily's Bakery. Most of all, Radar simply enjoyed life to the fullest. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sandy; and by his son, Paul William Latch. Radar is survived by his daughters, Suellen (Chad) Forrest and Tina (Brad) Seekon; grandchildren, Cody (Amara) Russell, Jesse Russell, Paige Seekon, Hayley Latch, Dallas Latch, and Sandra (Michael) Latch; great granddaughters, Piper Latch and Elaina Brennan; brother, Don (Katherine) Latch; and by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 6, 2022, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, with Father Matt Shireman officiating. Interment will follow at the parish cemetery. Family and friends are cordially invited to a visitation from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings, and for one hour prior to the Mass at Church on Monday morning. There will not be any public viewing at church on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred in memory of Radar. Arrangements are being completed by Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings.
