David J. Courneya

David J. Courneya, age 74 of Hastings died November 24, 2013 at St. Mary�s Hospital in Rochester, MN. David was born March 20, 1939 in St. Paul to Harold and Gertrude (Wetterlin) Courneya. He married Joan Pasicznyk on September 26, 1964 at St. Austin Catholic Church in Minneapolis and had worked as a district supervisor in the grocery business prior to retirement. David was a great family man. His family always came first and his children and grandchildren were his pride and joy.He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Mary Courneya and grandson Jacques. David is survived by his wife of 49 years, Joan; eight children, Denise (Dick) Becker, Joe (Kris) Courneya, Jeannie Leeson (Tony Osier), Troy (BreAnne) Courneya, Tammy (Michael) Conery, Tina (Dan) Bradford, Linda Courneya and Paul (Debra) Courneya; 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; also many other family and friends.The funeral Mass, officiated by Fr. Cole Kracke will be held 10 AM Wednesday, November 27 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 W. Fifteenth St, Hastings. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Private interment will be held in the parish cemetery.
