Damian John Halepeska

Damian John Halepeska, age 55 of Northeast Minneapolis, passed away suddenly on August 29, 2019. Damian J. Halepeska was born in St. Paul, Minnesota on January 27, 1964. He was the third of four children to Regina (Sterner) and Marcus Halepeska. He graduated from St. Thomas Academy in 1982. He worked as a laborer for the City of Minneapolis. He was an avid concert goer and especially loved KISS and other classic rock bands. He traveled all over the United States, mostly to attend his various concerts. He was a big fan of professional wrestling and comic books. He had a huge comic book collection. Damian will be remembered for his quiet and generous nature. Preceded in death by his mother, Regina Mary Halepeska (Sterner). He will be dearly missed by his father, Marcus "Mark" Halepeska of Hampton; his siblings, Donald Halepeska of Hampton, Mary Ann (John) Snyder of Eau Claire, WI, and Leah Elston of Waukesha, WI; 4 nieces and nephews, Sarah Snyder, Taylor Elston, Jake Elston, and Claire Elston; his close friends, Larry and Barb Tuberg of Arizona, George and Lorraine Schire of Oakdale; and many other family and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at St. Mathias Catholic Church, 23315 Northfield Blvd., Hampton. The family invites friends to join them for a visitation from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel, 3075 Vermillion Street, Hastings and also from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at the church on Thursday. The interment will take place at St. Mathias Catholic Cemetery next to the church. Arrangements are being completed by Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel in Hastings.
