Dale H. Rosch, age 86 of Hastings, died peacefully at home following an extended illness on Tuesday afternoon, July 16, 2019. Dale Harold, the son of Harold and Corrine (Tooker) Rosch, was born on February 18, 1933, in Hastings. Following his graduation from Hastings High School, Dale enlisted in the United States Navy and was later honorably discharged. Upon returning, he began working in law enforcement for a short time before starting at 3M where he worked for thirty-eight years prior to retiring. On June 18, 1955, Dale was united in marriage to Phyllis Zuzek and they were blessed with six children: Steven, Jeffrey, Peter, Donna, Laurie, and James, and fifty-three years of marriage prior to her passing. Dale enjoyed woodworking, golfing, and spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Phyllis; son, Steven; son-in-law, Walt Fontaine; grandchildren: Jake Rosch and Chris Fontaine; and by his siblings. Dale is survived by his children, Jeff (Kit) Rosch, Peter (Cheryl) Rosch, Donna Fontaine, Laurie (Gerv) Kieffer, and James (Carol) Rosch; daughter-in-law, Margie Rosch; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; very special friend, Lorraine Kimmes; and by other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 20, 2019, at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel in Hastings. Interment will follow at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish Cemetery. Family and friends are cordially invited to a visitation from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m., and to a luncheon immediately following the the interment, all at the funeral home on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to American Cancer Society or to the donor's choice in memory of Dale. Arrangements are being completed by Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings.
