Cody David Johnson

Cody David Johnson, age 18 of Hastings died Monday, May 19, 2014. Cody was born April 17, 1996 in St. Cloud, MN to David and Kari (Luhman) Johnson. A senior at Hastings High School, he enjoyed snowmobiling, trap shooting, fishing with Colt, Chance and friends, and driving his big truck. He was employed at Shell Rapid Lube of Hastings. Cody loved his parents and brothers very much and enjoyed spending time with his friends. He was proud that he had learned to drive Chases car and couldnt wait to show him. Cody was always willing to go out of his way to help others. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Lawrence Johnson. Cody is survived by his parents, David and Kari; three brothers Chase, Colt and Chance; grandparents Dean and Marcia Luhman and Norma Johnson; Cody's special friend, Kali Rudiger; also many other family members and friends. The Funeral Service, officiated by Rev. Percy J. Damrow will be held 11 AM Friday, May 23 at St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church, 202 West Eighth St, Hastings. Visitation will be held from 4-8 PM Thursday at the Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, 201 East Seventh St, Hastings and one hour prior to the service at church. The pallbearers are Chase Tessier, Joe Kiernan, Zach Shalean, Danny Larson, Anthony Buck and Brendan McCabe.
