Cleo M. Endres

Cleo M. Endres, age 81 of Hastings, passed away on Wednesday, October 10, 2018, at Augustana Care in Hastings. Cleo Merle Fry was born February 16, 1937 in Stillwater, MN to John and Zadie (Frybarger) Fry. She attended Hastings schools. She married Arnold "Andy" Endres at Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Hastings, on September 12, 1953. They recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. Cleo worked as a waitress at Wiederholts Supper Club and at Smead Manufacturing for many years. Upon their retirement, Cleo and Andy moved to their lake home near Babbitt, MN for 23 years, and returned to their home town of Hastings in 2017. Cleo was preceded in death by her parents and 10 siblings. Cleo is survived by her husband Arnold "Andy" Endres, 6 children Steve (Sonya) Endres, Michael Endres, Kathryn (Allan Shapiro) Lebewitz, LouAnn (Dave) Braun, Cheryl Endres and Susan Metcalf; 12 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren; 2 sisters Melva Jane Proechel and Mae (John) Mudder. A Memorial Service, conducted by Gordon Gathright, will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, October 14, 2018 at Park Ridge Senior Apartments, 901 16th St. West, Hastings, with a gathering from 2:00-3:00 pm. A luncheon reception will follow the service. The family will be attending the evening minyan on Monday, October 15, 2018 at 5:45 pm at Adath Jeshurun Congregation, 10500 Hillside Lane West, Minnetonka, MN. Arrangements are being completed by Caturia, Smidt Starkson Funeral Home Crematory of Hastings.
