Charles L. Kieffer, age 90, of Hastings, died Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at Regina Medical Center.Charles was born November 21, 1919 in Hastings to Lewis and Mary (Doffing) Kieffer. He was a 1937 graduate ofHastings High School, and served with the Marines in the South Pacific during WWII. Charles was united in marriage to Edna M.Riley on November 9, 1946 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Hastings. He worked at 3M for 33 years.He was preceded in death by his parents, and six siblings. Charles is survived by his wife, Edna; children, Raymond (Susan) of Brainerd, William (Kymi) of Rosemount, Mary Lou (Brad) Tittensor of Nampa, ID, Lewis (Sue) of Apple Valley, and Micky (Ted) Feyder of Brainerd; seventeen grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.The Funeral Mass, officiated by Rev. Fr.Thomas Mroczka, will be 10AMMonday, December 7, 2009 at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 2445 County Road E, White Bear Lake, followed by interment, with full militaryhonors provided by Hastings VFW Lyle Russell Post 1210,at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Cemetery, Hastings. The pallbearers are Riley Kieffer, Justin Kieffer, John Kieffer, Joseph Kieffer, Ryan Kieffer, Andrew Kieffer, Charles Kieffer, and William Feyder.A visitation will be held from 2 - 6PM Sunday at Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, Hastings.
