Chad W. Thompson, age 45, of Hastings, passed away at home on Thursday, April 22, 2021. Chad William was born June 6, 1975 to William and Nanette (Held) Thompson in Edina, Minn. He graduated from Apple Valley Highschool in 1993 and held various sales and customer service jobs throughout the years. Chad enjoyed fishing, lounging in the sun and cheering on the Minnesota Vikings. He is remembered fondly for his witty sense of humor, a caring heart and strong commitment to his family. He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents. Chad is survived by his parents, William (Bill) and Nanette (Nan) Thompson; brother, Cory (Kristine); niece and nephew, Amanda and Alex; and by many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Chad’s Life, officiated by Gordon Gathright, will be held at 11:00 am Friday, May 14, 2021 at the Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel, 3075 Vermillion St. in Hastings. A gathering will be held one-hour prior to the service and a lunch will follow, all at the funeral home. A private interment will be held at the Lakeside Cemetery at a later date.
