Chad W. Karnick

Chad W. Karnick, age 45 of Hastings, passed away after a short illness surrounded by his wife and parents on December 11, 2021. Chad William, the son of Kevin and Katherine Karnick was born in Hastings, Minnesota on June 5, 1976. He enjoyed fishing, football and spending time with his family. Chad worked for Valley Chevrolet for 28 years and most recently worked for Merit Chevrolet. Chad was a loving, kind man with a heart of gold, and will be dearly missed. Chad is preceded in death by his grandparents, Ralph and Janice Karnick, Peggy and Raymond Illa; uncle, Chris Illa; mother and father-in-law, Judy and Ron Halterman; brother-in-law, Mike Halterman. Chad is survived by his loving wife, Sarah; parents, Kevin and Katherine Karnick; brother, Travis Karnick (Sara); sister, Leah (Rick) Wright; aunt and godmother, Char Brown; and by many bothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 4:00 PM at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel, 3075 Vermillion St. in Hastings. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
