Cecelia M. Nicklay

Cecelia M. Nicklay, age 71 of Hastings died unexpectedly Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at Regina Medical Center. Cecelia was born June 15, 1943 in Brewster, MN to James and Alice (Thurston) McNab. She was a retired administrator and court attendant and formerly worked at the Dakota County Courthouse. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Wayne in 2012; brother Leo McNab and sister Alice Todryk. Cecelia is survived by her children Steve (Dona) Nicklay of Hastings, Lynne Webber (fianc Tony Mitchell) of Hastings, Dan (Lisa) Nicklay of Inver Grove Heights, Dave (DeAnn) Nicklay of Hastings, and Mike (Peggy) Nicklay of Minneapolis; 14 grand-children Kaylyn and Mathew Nicklay, Nicholas (Melinda) Herman, John and Casey Webber, Ben and Jake Smith, Jimmy Nicklay, Lyndsay, Maiya and Jack Nicklay, Maddy, Will and Joe Nicklay; brothers Leonard (Eileen) McNab of Battle Lake, MN and Bernard (Sandy) McNab of St. Charles, MN; also sister-in-law Maryanne McNab. The Funeral Mass, officiated by Fr. David Hennen will be held 10:30 AM Monday, December 1 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 West Fifteenth St, Hastings. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held3-6 PM Sunday at Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home Cremation Services, 201 East Seventh Street, Hastings and one hour prior to mass at church. Pallbearers are her grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation or Juvenile Diabetes Research.
