Carol E. Marschall, age 80 of Englewood, Florida, and Prescott, Wisconsin, died peacefully on Sunday, March 12, 2017, at home surrounded by her loving family. Carol Ellen, the daughter of John and Ellen (Cotter) Driscoll, was born on October 19, 1936, in Prescott, Wisconsin. She attended Prescott High School and graduated with the class of 1954. On June 27, 1959, Carol was united in marriage to Paul J. Marschall at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Prescott. Carol worked at First National Bank in St. Paul prior to relocating to Davenport, Iowa. They later moved to Iowa City, Iowa and then to South Bend, Indiana, where they raised their family. After Paul retired in 1996 Carol and Paul lived in Venice, Florida. In 2006 they moved to Englewood, Florida and returned to Prescott part-time. Carol was involved in the Service Guild and number of service organizations in South Bend, and particularly enjoyed volunteering at the Logan Center, where she worked with children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Carol was an avid golfer and card player. She liked to travel and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Daniel; and by her brother-in-law, Robert Seleski. Carol is survived by her loving husband, Paul; her children, Peter John (Brenda) Marschall of Mishawaka, IN, Patrick Jay (Christine) Marschall of North Brook, IL, and Dr. Melissa Jane Marschall (Michael) Orchard of Houston, TX; her grandchildren, Adam (Shital) Marschall, Meredith (Daniel) Ferris, Kyle (Katelyn) Fleming, Adam Fleming, Matthew Marschall, Michael Marschall, Katelyn Marschall, Conor Orchard and Paul Orchard; her great grandchildren, Mahlik Marschall, Niam Marschall, and Grace Ferris; her siblings, Bernard Driscoll, Elizabeth Seleski, and Thomas (Margaret) Driscoll; and by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Friday, March 17, at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Prescott, with Father George R. Szews officiating. Visitation will be held 5-8 p.m. Thursday, March 16, at Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home Cremation Services in Hastings and will continue for one hour prior to Mass on Friday. Interment will be held at St. Josephs Catholic Cemetery in Miesville, Minnesota. In lieu of flowers, Carols family requests memorials be directed to St. Joseph Catholic Church (Cemetery Fund) in Miesville, Minnesota. Arrangements are being completed by Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home Cremation Services of Hastings.
