Carol Ann Cuyler

Carol A. Cuyler, age 70 of Hastings, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 25, 2018. She passed away peacefully at home after an extended illness. Carol Ann, the daughter of Glen and Ada (Borner) Harris, was born on April 15, 1948 in Hastings. Carol attended Hastings High School and Bethel University where she graduated with an Elementary Education degree, with a minor in Art. She returned home to teach in Hastings School District for a number of years before finishing her career at New Life Academy in Woodbury. She was united in marriage with Lynn Cuyler on June 11, 1999. During her free time, she enjoyed bicycling, skiing, and traveling with her family. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Joan Truax. Carol is survived by her husband, Lynn Cuyler; children, RaeAnne (Matthew) Stensgard and Ronald (Carrie) Harder; step-children, Keri Krogel, Erin Loomis, and Colleen Kranz; 10 grandchildren; and siblings, Kenneth (Alice) Harris, Charlene (David) LaFrance, Steve (Mary) Harris, and Donna (Lance) Huebscher. Celebration of Life will be held 11:30 A.M. on Friday, June 29, 2018 at Cornerstone Bible Church in Hastings with Pastor James Bzoskie officiating. Visitation will be held at church from 9:30-11:30 A.M. Family interment will be held at Lakeside Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers (in consideration of those with allergies) memorials preferred to New Life Academy of Woodbury, www.newlifeacademy.org or Camp Lebanon in Upsala, MN, www.camplebanon.org. Arrangements are being completed by Caturia, Smidt Starkson Funeral Home Crematory of Hastings.
