Bradley Anderson

August 5, 1965 — March 24, 2017

Bradley "Rowdy" Anderson, age 51 of Hastings, died suddenly but peacefully at home on Friday, March 24, 2017. Bradley James, the son of David and LoreLie (Kissling) Anderson, was born on August 5, 1965, in Hastings. Brad graduated from Hastings High School with the class of 1983 and continued his education at River Falls (for two days) and later the University of Minnesota. As a lifelong member of Our Saviours Ev. Lutheran church, he was baptized, confirmed, married, and a regular attendee of the 10:35 a.m. weekly services. On January 7, 1994, Brad was united in marriage to the love of his life, Diana L. Hoffman. Throughout the years, Brad enjoyed many different careers. He first started as a paper boy, but eventually left that for others to take care of. Brad also worked at the Clark Gas Station and then moved north to help his aunt and uncles to run the Cabaret and Moonlight Gardens. He then came back to Hastings and worked with Edina Realty, and for many years at the County Point. Later in life, Brad loved working at Treasure Island as a bell hop where he had the chance to meet many new friends and some of his favorite "celebrities" that performed there. Brad was a man with a huge, golden heart and loved everyone enduringly. He loved spending "Sunday family fun-day" and deciding where to go with a flip of a coin or throwing a dart at a map, he never held back on having the time of his life. Brad enjoyed fishing, but many would wonder if he actually had more fun buying the tackle than actually fishing. Of course, we all know how much Brad loved to grocery shop and would make his way around town to find the best deals he possibly could! He loved reading books to his daughter, Lilly, having nap time and watching Mr. Rogers. Brad also enjoyed birdwatching, feeding the squirrels, and filling the many candy dishes set around the house for all to share. Most of all, the love he continually showed for all of his family and friends will never be forgotten. Brad was an amazing husband to Diana, and a devoted father to Lilly. His love for the neighborhood kids was also shown on a regular basis, mainly on "Candy Fridays" when hed make sure to hand out candy to everyone at the bus stop and hand crosses to loved ones going through struggles or accomplishments. Brad had the secret to life: he always saw value in someone, no matter what your situation was. Well forever remember the impact he left in our hearts Brad is survived by his wife, Diana and daughter, Lilly: his parents, Dave and LoreLie Anderson; his mother-in-law, Betty Hoffman; his siblings, Dave (Kathy) Anderson, Dawn (Todd) Siebenaler, and Diana (Jon) Mitchell; his many nieces, nephews and godchildren that he loved dearly; the extended Hoffman family; and by many other relatives and friends that are way too many to include! Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m. Thursday, March 30, 2017, at Our Saviours Ev., Lutheran Church in Hastings, with Reverend Doug Duin officiating. Visitation will be held at church from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. A reception to celebrate Brads life will follow the service at church. Arrangements are being completed by Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home Cremation Services of Hastings
