Betty Jane Bogucki

Betty Jane Bogucki, age 81 of Hastings, died suddenly at home on Thursday morning, June 28, 2018. Betty Jane, the daughter of Maurice and Henrietta (Traiser) Johnson, was born on August 5, 1936, in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Following her graduation from New Richmond High School, Jane was united in marriage to Sherm Beyl and they were blessed with four children, Julee, Peter, Paul, and John. With Sherm being in the Navy, they were stationed in various places prior to their divorce. Jane later married Raymond "Ray" Bogucki, and lived in Westminster, Colorado for many years. They enjoyed camping in the mountains, traveling, and entertaining Rays work colleagues. Ray later preceded Jane in death in 2010. Jane also enjoyed shopping, antiquing, and tending to her flowers. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and by her husband, Ray Bogucki. Jane is survived by her children, Julee (Doug) Krinke, Peter Beyl, Paul (Lynn) Beyl, and John Beyl; grandchildren, Travis (Katie) Krinke, Audrey Krinke, Christopher (Allie) Beyl, and Michael Beyl; great grandchildren, Chad Krinke, Austin Beyl, and Charlotte Beyl; and by many other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Hastings, with Father Michael Barsness officiating. Private family interment will be held at a later date. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at Caturia, Smidt Starkson Funeral Home Crematory of Hastings, and will continue for one hour prior to Mass at church on Tuesday morning. Arrangements are being completed by Caturia, Smidt Starkson Funeral Home Crematory of Hastings.
