Bernice F. Sherry

Bernice “Bun” Sherry, age 91, a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away at Regina Care Center on March 15, 2015. She was born on Nov. 24, 1923 in Red Wing, one of eight children, to Frank and Gertrude Miller. She graduated in 1941 from Hastings High School. Bun married Richard Sherry in Hastings. She enjoyed celebrating St. Patrick’s Day and getting together with her family. She was a wonderful, caring, mother who cherished her family. Bun was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; parents; and sister, Marion Peine. She is survived by her children, Diane (Bob) Cherry; Barb Sherry Elliott; Mike (Deb) Sherry; and Kathy (Scott) Berg; grandchildren, Matt and Josh Cherry, Angie Wilson, Lisa Vojtech, Shannon Carroll, and Rachel Anselmo; Stacey Claessens, Chad Elliott, Amy Sieben, and Kristin Elliott; Brian Sherry and Kelly Nelson; Dave Sherry, and Brett and Blake Berg; 24 great grandchildren; brother, Ray (Joan) Miller; sisters, Dorothy Loesch; Emeline Hamilton; Jeanne McGree; Ruth Bremer; and Audrey Connolly; her friends at Oak Ridge Community and many other relatives and friends. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday (3/20) at 11:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 W. 15th St., Hastings. A visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the mass at church. Pallbearers are her grandsons, Matt Cherry; Josh Cherry; Chad Elliott; Dave Sherry; Brett Berg; Blake Berg and Brian Sherry.
