Barbara Joan Brewer

Barbara passed away peacefully at her daughter's home on May 29, 2015, at the age of 84. She was born on October 8, 1930 in Mitchell, Indiana and was baptized at First Christian Church in Mitchell, Indiana. Barbara will remain forever in the hearts of her beloved husband of 66 years, Don; children Claudia (Kenny), Ellen, Randy (Tracey), and Denise (Ray); She will be missed greatly by her 8 grandchildren, David (Dia), Nicole (Ryan), Heidi (Trevor), Jesse, Brad, R.J., Clint (Tanya), Crystal; and 8 great-grandchildren, Trinity, Faith, Hannah, Natalie, Wyatt, April, Danielle, and Ryder; and many other people that met her as a stranger for a moment, then had a mom or a grandmother for life. Barbara is now reunited with her parents Claude Franklin and Mildred Adler Smith; brothers and sisters, Levere, Nanette (Bill), Eugene (Maxine), Sally (Roy), Linda (Kenny); and many other people that she loved. A Funeral Service, officiated by Gordon Gathright, will be held on Tues. (6/2) at 11:30 a.m. at Wise Family Funeral Home, 400 Spring St., Hastings. A visitation will be held on Mon. (6/1) from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Interment, Fort Snelling National Cemetery. The Wise Family Funeral Home is serving the family.
