Antoinette "Tonie" Haugen

Antoinette I. "Tonie" Haugen, age 83 of Hastings, died peacefully on Wednesday morning, November 16, 2016, at Augustana Care in Hastings. Antoinette Inga, the daughter of Anton and Emma (Gronberg) Tofsly was born in Crookston, MN on June 5, 1933. Tonie married Donald L. Haugen on August 25, 1956 in Larimore, ND. She was an administrative assistant at Pinecrest Elementary School in Hastings for 22 years prior to her retirement in 1992. Tonie loved to golf, enjoyed cooking (especially lefse) and gardening. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister and four brothers; and by her husband in 2008, Dr. Donald "Doc" Haugen, a local Hastings dentist. Toni is survived by her daughter, Tammy (Paul) Wiederholt of Hastings, sons, Jim Haugen of White Bear Lake and John Haugen of Hastings; four grandchildren, Talli Schnell, Julianne Medcraft, Kyle Haugen and Kayla Haugen; also many other relatives and friends. A private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the donors choice.
