Anna Mae Zajac

Anna Mae Zajac of Hastings, died peacefully at her home May 1, 2017. She was 85. She was born May 21, 1931 in New Ulm the daughter of Hugo and Clara Dorn. She received her RN degree from nursing school in Breckenridge, MN. She married Andrew Zajac Sept. 9, 1953, in St. Michael's Catholic Church, Buckman. Her family was everything to her. She is survived by her children, Gary (Paula) Zajac of Hastings, Mary Lee (Ron) Weber of Hastings, Thomas (Terri) Zajac of Hastings, David (Jodie) Zajac of Wyoming, Daniel (Cathy) Zajac of St. Paul and Timothy Zajac of Hillman; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; brother Marvin (Marilyn) Dorn of Pierz; sisters Marion Nistler of St. Cloud and Darlene Engebretson of Sauk Rapids; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Andrew Zajac; and parents, Hugo and Clara Dorn. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on May 5, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 W. 15th St., Hastings, with Father David Hennen officiating. Visitation will be held from 9-11AM. Interment will be in the church cemetery, Hastings. The Wise Family Funeral Home is serving the family. Memorials preferred to Hastings Family Service or Sharing and Caring Hands.
