Aloysius "Al" Then

Aloysius "Al" Then, age 85 of Hastings, died peacefully on Sunday, January 31, 2016 at Augustana Care of Hastings. Al was born May 3, 1930 in Hastings to Joseph and Augusta Marie (Cysiewski) Then. A graduate of St. Johns University, he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was employed with Sperry Univac for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Genevieve Then and brother Thomas Then. Al is survived by several cousins and many friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Friday, February 5, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 West Fifteenth St., Hastings with visitation one hour prior to Mass at church. Father David Hennen will officiate. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Hastings VFW Lyle Russell Post #1210. Arrangements are being completed by Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home Cremation Services in Hastings.
