Adriana "Jane" Amelse

Adriana �Jane� Amelse, age 83 of Hastings died Monday, April 29, 2013 at the Regina Nursing Home in Hastings. Jane was born May 31, 1929 in Harrison, WI to Adrian and Marie (Van der Sanden) Amelse. She was a 1947 graduate of McDonell High School, Chippewa Falls, WI and received her nursing degree from St. John�s Hospital in Springfield, IL. Jane worked as a nurse anesthetist at St. Joseph�s Hospital in St. Paul for many years prior to her retirement. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Cornelius, Anthony, Rudolph, Gerald, Edward; sisters Dorothy and Elizabeth. Jane is survived by her four brothers John (Kay) of Rochester, MN, Lawrence (Ginny) of Rosemount, MN and Richard (Diane) of Sun Prairie, WI and Peter (Mary) of Chicago, IL; sister Mary Ann (Peter) Speckien of Eau Claire, WI; alsomany nieces, nephews and three sisters-in-law Mary Ann, Betty and Jackie Amelse. In lieu of flowersdonations to Regina Nursing Home or Allina Hospice. The Funeral Mass, officiated by Fr. James Perkl will be held 10 AM Friday, May 3, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 W. Fifteenth St., Hastings. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be held at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Eau Claire, WI.
