Adolph L. Tessness

Adolph L. Tessness, age 78, of Hastings, died Friday, March 15, 2013 at the St. Lucas Care Center in Faribault where he had been a resident for the last two years.Adolph was born June 28, 1934 in Buffalo, South Dakota to Adolph and Bernice (Powers) Tessness. He was married to Catherine Roepke on July 17, 1954 and she preceded him in death December 18, 2005. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean War. He was employed in the sales of furniture and equipment. Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a sister Frances.He is survived by 5 children, Bret Tessness of Excelsior, MN, Brenda (John) Peterson of Faribault, MN, Bruce (Mary) Tessness of Hastings, Barbara (Andrew) Hill of Georgia and Bridgette Tessness of Georgia; 21 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.A Memorial Service, officiated by Rev. Chris Kneen, will be held 11:00 AMFriday, March 22, 2013 at the United Methodist Church, 615 West Fifteenth Street, Hastings, MN with a gathering 1 hour prior to the service.Inurnment will take place at a later date at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
