Adolph A. Ritt

Adolph A. Ritt, age 81 of Hastings, died unexpectedly on August 16, 2015 at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale. Adolph Andrew was born May 21, 1934 in Herreid, SD to Frank and Regina (Stepenenko) Ritt. He married Seraphine "Sara" Braun on October 23, 1958 in Linton, ND. Adolph had worked as a truck driver and as a motor coach driver for Minnesota Coaches. He was preceded in death by his parents; son James; granddaughter Hannah Jean Ritt; sister Rosalia and two brothers Frank and Eddie. Adolph is survived by his wife Sara; their children, Cheryl (Peter) Rosch of Hastings, David (Elizabeth) Ritt of Fridley, Susan (Mark) Evenson, Michael (Jean) Ritt, Brian Ritt, Stephen Ritt, and Christopher (Michelle) Ritt, all of Hastings; 24 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, sister Mary Ann Klein of St. Paul; and also by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, August 22, 2015 at St Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 West Fifteenth St., Hastings, with Fr. David Hennen officiating. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Friday at Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home Cremation Services, 201 E. Seventh St., Hastings and also Saturday one hour prior to service at church. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers are Andrew Ritt, Austin Evenson, Daniel Ritt, Garret Ritt, Spencer Ritt and Thomas Ritt.
